Based on the Play By Euripides
A gripping, raw, and astonishingly intense masterpiece. Euripides’ iconic tragedy crackles with emotional power in an intimate staging that brings audiences face-to-face with one of theatre’s most unforgettable characters. Fiercely human and haunting, Medea remains one of the most powerful tragedies ever written.

Wednesday, September 16, 2026. 7:30P Founders Theatre, Golden Bough Playhouse, Carmel-by-the-Sea
WAZ PRODUCTIONS In Association with Edward Montgomery Fine Art is honored to announce our upcoming event!
Two-time Grammy Award recipient, the legendary ALBERT LEE will appear for ONE NIGHT ONLY at the Golden Bough Playhouse on Wednesday, September 16th!
Albert Lee is a musician’s musician, and a man whom Eric Clapton has proclaimed as “The Greatest Guitarist in The World”. In addition to his numerous solo projects Albert Lee has lent his live and recorded talents to countless artists over his long and storied career including other mega stars such as Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers, and Emy Lou Harris. Notably, Albert Lee was the “other guitar” in Eric Clapton’s band for five years.
Revered and respected worldwide by scores of guitar players for his precise, articulate, yet fluid signature hybrid picking style, Albert Lee can deliver melodic tempo from slow emotional soulful to lighting fast rock & roll to foot stomping country through his seamless and seemingly effortless command of the fret board and right hand pyrotechnics all without the aid of many special effects or pedals. Between his guitar, his amp, and his whammy bar, Albert Lee has more than enough musical magic to create most any sound he needs. And he truly is a musical magician.
On tour promoting his new album, “Lay It Down”, Albert Lee and his band have graciously agreed to take the stage at Carmel-by-the-Sea’s hidden gem, the newly renovated and state of the art Founders Theatre in the Golden Bough Playhouse on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. Show time at 7:30.
This is your opportunity to experience up close and personal an evening with one of the music industry’s most talented and exciting performers, the legendary Albert Lee. It should be a night to remember!
